4x4 with shure GLXD6 receiver hum

Post by itguy61 »

I just got this and am using it with my Dingbat board that has the voodoo switcher mounted to it.

My signal chain is Shure Receiver>Caintlinbrad Naga Viper>Source Audio EQ2>Px-8 plus>Tonebone AYB switcher with it's own wall wort. ON the switcher the order is Spark Mini>KOT>Suhr Koko Boost>BB boost preamp.

From the Shure manual -Connect DC power supply (9 to 15 V DC, 250 mA min.)
Note: Compatible with positive tip or negative tip power supplies.

The Shure hums loudly in any of the six single outlets with any other pedals plugged into any of the other 5. I only use the high current for the shure but any other pedal on the other high current 9v plug or the other 4 low current jacks makes it hum.

The only way it will not hum is to plug it into the first combo high current power plug. If I plug another pedal into the other pair of high current 12/9 v plugs it hums. If I plug the EQ pedal into the other plug on the pair the shure is connected to it does not hum. If I move the EQ2 over to the 9V plug on the other pair the shure hums loudly. The EQ2 needs 150ma to run.

I am flummoxed by this. Any ideas?

Bottom line is I cannot use any of the six single plug outlets if other pedals are connected to any of hate other 5 and can only use on of the pairs of high current plugs with the exception of using the other plug on the pair the shure is connected to.
