Re: Does Anyone Know how a GC Pro works?
For what it does for me is fine, but if I designed it, it would be way more intuitive to operate. A flow chart would be nice.

Does Anyone Know how a GC Pro works?
I've read the "manual" just like you, and just like you, I said to myself, WTF? Correct? Yes I am. The proof I have is right here in front of us. Thousands and thousands of views and no responses because there is no answer.
Each and everyone of us finds out how to use Voodoo Lab stuff by trial and error because there is no manual or even a video to learn from. Oh sure VL does have some sort of video, the one where the guy says, "Hold on a second kids while I check the manual." Even after that, the guy has no idea how to work the GCP, incredible. There is probably one geek, sitting in an office somewhere at VL that designed this thing and only he knows a little bit about it but not enough to explain it to the rest of us.
My idea for a manual would look like a flow chart so we could start at the beginning and understand the logic of the design. Imagine that, a simple flow chart like a hand holding guide pointing us to the proper objective. You know, do this next if you want this, don't do this kind of direction. I would also have glossary of terms so I could figure out what is meant by the random words on the unit, ie; special.

My new temporary set up, soon to be upgraded.
Current set up by John Bazzano, on FlickrSteinberger GR4's, CFH wah-wah, Prescription Electronics Vibe Unit, Corona chorus in front, T-Rex delay & TC hall of fame reverb in the loop. TriAxis pre amp and 50/50 power amp. The speakers and cabinets - top is a Boogie open back with a Mesa Fillmore 75, the middle is a Boogie Thiele with a Celestion C90, the bottom is a Boogie Thiele with a EVM12L, the personal monitor is homemade and has a Black label Boogie EVM12L. Voodoo pedal power and GC Pro.
I just bought a GCX to control my new set up which is in the shop getting maintenance. It's a Boogie Quad pre amp & Strategy 400 power amp. I will use the TriAxis and Quad, switching between them with the GCX. I will bring both power amps to gigs using the 50/50 as a back up.

Re: Help with setting up rig
I posted a couple of question here on this forum and I check back every couple of days to see if anyone answers. I'm at almost 1000 views and you are at almost 2000 views. I guess there is no one in this world that knows how to operate these things. The manual is the worst ever and any videos from Voodoo lab are so bad even the guy trying to explain things has to take a break in the middle of filming, ("hold on a minute kids while I check the manual") that we'll probably just have to experiment on our own.
I do like Voodoo lab as a company and recommend everyone I know to buy their products, but they have seriously bad owner/operator information. Typical nerds. Once I figure it all out, I'll more than likely make a "how to video" and post it here in this forum.

Re: Can I do this? (Can GCX switch power amp inputs?)
I'm fairly certain that is the correct way to do the amp switching.
I bought my GCX off of a guy on Reverb and there was no power cord so I haven't been able to actually use the GCX yet. I found this forum while searching for a 4 din power supply. It is unbelievable how terrible the instructions are to any thing GC Pro or GCX. I watched the Voodoo Lab endorsed video and the guy had to stop the video ("hold on a second kids while I check the manual") so I'm not sure about how any of it works really. I bought my GC Pro to control my TriAxis, which it does, but I thought it would do more things like being able to change parameters and such, nope.
I posted a question that I will be able to answer myself once the power cord gets here. I'm a trial and error guy anyway so I will figure it out, sooner or later.

signal splitting & Boogie Quad ?
I would like to split the signal to feed left and right sides of my power amp.
Here's what I have - A Mesa Boogie TriAxis and Quad pre amp, a delay and reverb in the loop. I would send a signal from my chorus pedal's left and right out from my fx board to my two preamps inputs. From there I would use loop1 to switch preamps. Out of loop 1, I would go to loop 2 and use that as an effects loop. Loop 3 would be set up as a mute coming out to? Front of GCX guitar in and then feed thru and guitar out to L & R power amp in? Or, feed thru on back of GCX to guitar out with a split cable to power amp L & R in?
Also, I will use the GCX to change channels on the Quad Pre amp using the "midi" 1/4" jacks. Should they be latching or momentary? I would like it if I could switch channels and have the other channel turn off. The way I use the Quad now, I have to turn a channel off or two channels will be on at the same time, a pita.
