I've found a a/b box that does stereo/trs switching....would the GCP get confused using a a/b box like this to switch between an expression pedal and the tap tempo box?
I have pedal 1 used by an expression pedal.....and pedal 2 used by a tap tempo box....
Would the GCP work if I wanted to a/b the tap tempo and another expression pedal? It's easy enough to switch from the proper CC# for tap and CC# for whatever expression controller I needed per preset.
Thanks!

They've been talkin' about this for years now. Some of us have been waiting for a lot longer, and when you post here lately about it the moderators avoid the thread.

You could always go with one of these into one of the expression pedal jacks:
Very nicely made and pretty cheap:

Re: Rumours... Are they true??
Hehe, you know I love da voodoo products.......some of us have been patient and loyal to the gcp/vl for years waiting some kind of expander or update....This namm rocktron repackaged the all access and called it the midi raider...pretty fugly but it will have all of the features of the all access and put it in the 400 dollar price range like the gcp.
I don't think up until this anyone had any cut in gcp's feature set/price range....but now it's a game changer really and it's about time that VL stepped up it's game on the gcp feature set..... most people leap to something more expensive at the lack of features/expansion possibilities....but since the new rocktron will prolly cost the same, I don't see how the market strategy will be effective anymore.

Re: Current Doubler Adapter cable (p/n PPAP)
Wow, I just stumbled on to this cool item....Now I can power my GCP from the pp2+!!!!
Thank you guys a bunch for this, getting my pedals back on the floor so another big cable order for the pp2+ is in order. Question please, can I order right angle plugs on the two pedal power ends of the current doubler adapter? Great product!
Thanks again for this!

Re: Extend Ground Control additional instant access switches
To arizona guitarist :
Is the GCX your switcher/switching your amp? Most people don't set up their amp channel switching this way and have the IA buttons dedicated to effects, eqs, boosts and the like not specific amp channels(boosts are ok).
You would use presets(preset buttons) to switch the footswitch funtions/amp channels on/off, then it will do exactly what you are saying.....
In the setup/expanders menu you would have GCX 1 enabled(GCX or other)...then when you edit your preset and scroll to GCX 1...(press your IA buttons on this page)
Here you will have access to each loop of that gcx will put out cc# controllers to switch your switcher which you'll have 8 per preset per gcx. There is where you will enable/disable footswitch functions. Select your combiation and save the preset. If you have a gcx it's automatically set for the right controllers obviously.
Each preset is a saved combination. I have a 3 channel head and a 3channel preamp with switchable eq and the GCP controls it all fine...the problem is I don't have enough footswitch switchers(Control switcher???? Voodoo?)
I keep my IA buttons for other things, and I really have for some time needed more than the 8 provided. The GCP will do what your trying to do.

Re: GCP firmware feature question
OMG John that is cool as $#@$, thanks! Thank you to all at VL!.....in retrospect, I have to agree with what Josh said......this is the best solution for IA expansion that's a safe bet for you guys too!!!!
When it does come out and the new gcps start shipping with the new OS, I hope you get the on-line stores like mf to detail everything the GCP be able to do with the new firmware. You're gonna be selling a lot more ground control pros for this!
Meanwhile I still have my money put away for the Control Switcher, really looking forward to that too.....will buy. I've considered other alternatives, but the buttons(not just a box with lights), front lighted buttons, isolated jacks and small form factor(and not to mention the gcp easy integration, and it looks good too)....will keep me holding out for this product

GCP firmware feature question
Not naggin' about dates I promise
, it will get here when it gets here and I'm just thankful you're making it, for real.
My question is about info VL has already shared:
http://www.voodoolab.com/forum/viewtopi ... +gcp#p2473
John Clark said: "make a Ground Control Pro go into Instant Access Mode where you will have two banks of 12 Instant Access buttons. This can be used alone or with another Ground Control Pro."
When using new Instant access mode alone, how is that going to work? Is it like IA pages or something?
That would be awesome!
Sorry to be so curious, I've been meaning to ask for a while now lol.
Thanks!

Sorry.....Felt kinda bad for posting that link, just seemed like a shame since it's probably so close. I posted that I thought he should hold out.....but, I'm more patient that most it seems.

Re: Ground loop with multiple amps plugged
The ebtech WILL suck tone unless you get the humX.
In this situation, you need isolation transformers. I have 2 amps/preamps and would have dealt with this situation.
What I use is the lehle p-split II. I use it a little differently though, I do NOT use the split out only the transformer out. You'd have to put one on 2 of the 3 amps(between the gcx loop out and the head amp your using). gcx send -> p-split II input -> P-split transformer out -> amp input.
Basically my switcher a/b's my guitar signal between the amps....between the output of one loop into the head/preamp I put the lehle. It's a very good Isolation tranny...I like to think of it as an isolation transformer first, and a quality splitter second.
You NEVER want to unplug the gound on your power cable, it IS dangerous. Only for quick testing. Save yourself some time and get the p-split II.
