Re: Noob question.

Mr Clark I spoke with Mesa Boogie again and they said because I have the new multi watt rectifier I can use the y cable method to switch both my amps with the gcx. I would prefer to do this to save some loops for effects etc. My question now is this, on a y cable the single end would need to be a stereo jack. Can the gcx switch accept the stereo jack ?

Re: Noob question.

Thanks for the reply John. Wouldn't using a Y cable be kind of the same as linking the two heads together like you suggested in your first post? The reason I ask is because I contacted Mesa Boogie like you advised me about connecting the two heads together and they said I shouldn't because they run different switching voltages.

Can I purchase a new decal from Voodoo Labs

The title pretty much says it all but I'm wanting to purchase a new decal for my Ground Control Pro. I bought it second hand and it has a few marks and I would like to replace it if possible. The one I'm reforge to is the decal that covers the whole face of the unit.

Re: Noob question.

Mr Clark,
I want to pick your brain again :geek:
I have a new GCX and GCP being delivered shortly and was wondering what kind of midi cable I need to purchase to link the two units?

What kind of cable and connectors do I need to switch my mesa's channels? I'm assuming two core cable and mono connectors will do the job ?

Lastly how would I need to wire it up if I want both channel 1's/2's /3's to come on with one tap of a footswith?

Thank you so much for your help :D

Re: Noob question.

Thank you so much for that helpful information! I think I'm going to go with the overkill set up and run a GCX and ground control pro. I plan on running a few effects as well plus I have 8 rack spaces to fill. Lol

Noob question.

I guys first post here trying to find out something I know you guys will know for sure. I apologise if its already been asked but I can find what Im looking for.
I'm building my first rack set up and I have a Mesa Mark V and Dual Rectifier I want to run in stereo. I want to be able to have both amps switch channels with a single push of a button.
Will the GCX and GCP allow me to do this?

I already have an A/B/Y box to split the signal I just want both my amps to switch to channel 3 for example with the push of one button and then both back to channel 1 with another button etc
