Hey John Clark !! How about a global tap temp of sorts ?

The GCPRO can send much info to 8 of my midi devices simultaneously. I've assigned a switch to act as my tap tempo for one of those devices. However what is stopping you guys from having that one momentary switch send to all of the other devices and their corresponding cc assignments and values for tap tempo ?? Not just one. Seems totally doable from a programming standpoint. I'm having to use midi merging and splitting devices to do this via clock with many pedals and rack boxes. Can you help us ? It would be more or less a global tap tempo in a way right ?? (albeit not all synced to one common source but do we really need that ?? )

Re: YJM 100 switching.

JK,

Thanks for the post. Yeah I think your AFD is slightly different. Since you have two functions to switch they use a more standard TRS switch. Evidently the YJM uses the Stompware ( just standard TS cable going to a 4 function switch). My suspicion is that they are using control voltage or somehow the amp reacts to a resistance load inside the pedal and depending on that impedance it changes status on the amp. Gate on/off, Reverb on/off etc. This is all pure speculation on my part however.

Not sure. Stumped at the moment. About to perform a dissection of said YJM pedal if I can't figure this one out.

Re: Tap Tempo Pedal Build for the GCP

Another question. By going this route with the TT ie; connecting to one one of the pedal inputs instead of sending a momentary CC on one of the housings switches, are you able to address more than one midi device/midi channel with that momentary command ? I'm trying to send TT to an Eventide and a EchoPro in my rack. Both are on different midi channels. Both use a different CC for the TT. Neither will do an out+thru via midi unless I downgrade the firmware on the Eventide pedal. Then it will allow the midi out to also pass info like a thru. This allows me to have the Echo pro sync to the Eventides tempo clock. But I'd much rather be able to send both a TT with one button on my rig.

Any help with that ?

YJM 100 switching.

Anyone successfully interfaced Marshall's Stompware switching riddle ? I need access to switching the verb, gate and boost at a minimum.

No midi, just the Stompware jack on the back of the amp. Are these guys using control voltage ? Help.
