As an added question..
I also have a Zoom G3 (need to buy a current doubler... oops I was using a voltage doubler, hope I didn't do damage to anything after hour or so of use!)... I assume it needs 5 & 6 to get the 500mA of juice.
I'd like to also power my Whammy 5 pedal with the PP2+. From what I understand it needs about 280mA 9v. Is this possible with the 5/6 outputs taken? Can I use 3 of the 100mA slots with a custom current tripler cable?
I only need to power a Suhr Riot (100mA) and maybe my compressor after that, so running out of outputs isn't an issue.

Re: Boss DD2 (MIJ) ... what PP2+ setting?
I don't see why the PSA-120S (newer Boss adaptor) makes my pedal go wacko after 15 minutes of use. The DD-2 light goes bright and works perfect at first, but after some time it starts to hum loudly and cut out. Maybe one of the pedal's chips is dying? But it doesn't happen with a 9V battery...
This same PSA-120S adaptor works for all newer Boss pedals which work with the NORMAL setting on 1-4.. but I know there are some variations (like the DD-20 twin which works with the PSA-120S... but needs the 5 or 6 slot).
Again I'm very scared of frying this ancient pedal (hopefully it's not already damaged).. but been messing around a little. On slot 1-4 NORMAL, it works OK, but there's a lot of hum/ground noise compared to the battery and PSA-120S (before it craps out). Not a big difference when I turn the voltage switch to ON.
Is slot 5-6 a possibility?

Boss DD2 (MIJ) ... what PP2+ setting?
I have an old DD2 that freaks out with the 2 Boss adaptors I have. 1 is an old ACA that works for my CE2 & CS2 pedals, and then I have a "PSA-120S" which works with the DD3, DD20, etc.
The DD2 says use "PSA Adaptor" and it apparently has a larger voltage capacity.. but I assume the old JP 80s PSA adaptor is different than the new PSA-120S I have.
Anyway, it functions when I use in the PP2+ 1-4 slots, both ON or OFF. The light is not very bright on either, and there's a little hum... I'm more worried about frying the DD2, so can anyone recommend me the best place to power it?
Thanks.

RMC wahs with PP2+?
Looking to buy an RMC Teese Wah... maybe the Picture or Wizard Wah... Heard murmurs of them working best with a battery, but wanted to hear a more official word on the PP2+. Thanks!

I have the "Classic Booster+Distortion"... (recent reissue, not 80s original)
Runs on 9Vs... Is it safe to run through the PP2+?
Thanks

Re: Why is the Analog Chorus so bad with drive pedals?
I used to always think my Boss CE-2 sounded terrible with my Mesa Boogie Mark III's lead channel... continued to sound bad with my Soldano SP-77 preamp's distortion channel... in or out of an FX loop or before the pre.
Then I realized that too much gain and CE-2 chorus isn't a sound I really like theoretically. The main reason I love using chorus with clean is because it makes my sound thick and complex, almost like an organ with a slight shimmer. With hi-gain, it modulates between muddy and ice-picky. I guess even if I get it right, mid 80s VH/Ozzy/Journey hair metal tone isn't really what I want.
It works GREAT with a light overdrive; clean channel with gain pumped up, or a Tube Screamer. If I want some kind of modulation in my distortion channel, I find my flangers to work better.

PP2+ ... can I run 8 Boss Pedals?
I don't have a manual, but from what I understand, I can run classic ACA pedals through slots 1-4 with the ON switch... and PSAs on the OFF switch.
Do I understand correctly, are slots 5-8 meant for different, specific voltages? Or can I run all these 5 Boss pedals with one PP2+:
DD3 - CE2 (mij) - BD2 - MT2 - CS2 (mij) (... and a Crybaby)
Got the Japanese Chorus and Compression running through 3 & 4 with the ON switches. Just making sure if there's a limit! Someone made it sound like 5 & 6 are meant for Line 6 pedals or something.
Thanks.
