Adding a HEX to my PX-8

Post by MaceFremonti » Fri Feb 09, 2018 11:36 pm

As I can't seem to stop buying pedals, I now have the need for more than the 8 loops that my PX-8 provides. I would like to run a HEX in the insert loop of the PX-8. How would I go about programming/connecting the HEX and PX-8 to work togethor/save loop combinations etc? What are the HEX's dimensions?

Can't help, but have the same question. Don't see how to do this in the manual...

PX-8 Plus will send a MIDI Program Change message with each preset. If you program the HEX to respond to Program Changes then the PX-8 Plus presets will control the HEX.

PX-8 Plus is set up to send MIDI Program Changes on MIDI Channel 1 right out of the box... there is nothing to program.

Enabling Program Changes is is shown in the Enable MIDI Messages section under Setup in the HEX manual.
(The default MIDI Channel for HEX is MIDI Channel 1, so this shouldn't need to be changed.)
Programming HEX loops to respond to presets is shown in the Saving and Recalling Presets section under Use with Other MIDI Controllers section of the HEX manual.

HEX dimensions are 8.5" wide x 2.9" deep x 1.7" tall.

I hope that helps!
