Hi!
I just got 2 Voodoo Lab Pedal Switchers and a Commander. Is it possible to run the VL Pedal Switchers with the PP2+? As far as i know the PP2+ is DC and on the Pedal Switcher socket it says AC. Does it work though or do i have to get an extra Pedal Power AC? I think i dont try this until im sure that it will work, cause if it doesnt i might kill all my gear...
Regards!

Always a good idea to check first!

The Pedal Switcher will accept AC or DC power. The Pedal Switcher can be powered from output 5 or 6 on a Pedal Power 2+ with the DIP switch set away from Normal.

Good Luck!

Ok, thank you! That helps a lot! I got one more point here: What does the Dip Switch change when i set it away from "normal". All i know is, that when its set to normal, its standard 9V DC power. Thats what de manual says too:

"On the bottom of the Pedal Power is an 8 position DIP switch with switches numbered 1-8. These switches correspond to outputs 1-8 and select the output voltage. Normally, the switches should all be in the NORMAL position for 9 volt operation."

But it doesnt say what it changes when i set it away from normal. Not thats necessary to know, but im just curious.

Regards!

Hi John,

Thanks for this insightful post as I am about to get myself a Pedal Swicther and this has confirmed that I can do away with the supplied power adapter.

Also just extending on this post will the standard 2.1mm to 2.5mm cable work and does the 2.5mm end require to be center positive? Or cn it just be a straight through?

Regards Matthew

Hi there.
I got another small problem powering the VL Pedal Switchers... Now that i tried to hook the PS up to the PP2+, i recognized, that the cable that came with the PP2+ doesnt match, none of them...could you tell me, what size id have to choose for the Pedal Switcher plug, so i can order one?
Im sorry for those nooby questions, but i really dont know anything about cables, and i dont want to mess up with electricity! Any help is very welcome!
Kind regards!

The Pedal Switcher draws about 120mA maximum.

Good Luck!
