hi there

I wanted to search this forum but turned out to be too many topic about volume pedal.
I play one channel hardwired amp
I have G-Major 2
I have GCP/GCX
Volume pedal into GCP would not work.Cable is correct
Does this has anything to do with G-Major?
I am asking last question as amp does reach certain volume and after that even volume on amp will not effect overall volume.

I would appreciate any help

Connecting a pedal to the Ground Control Pro will make it act as a MIDI expression pedal. Your G-Major 2 is the device that will receive the MIDI expression control and perform whatever function you have programmed within the G-Major 2. Check that you have the G-Major 2 set up to control volume within its MOD Menu.

Thanks

Are you sure you assigned the expression pedal in each patch of the GCP as well as assigned it to global volume in the G-Maj?

Yes, a guitar volume pedal becomes a MIDI expression pedal when connected to a Ground Control Pro allowing you to control any parameter that your MIDI device allows. Each Ground Control Pro preset can control a different parameter if you wanted.

On the Ground Control Pro you will set the Expression Pedal to send on a specific Control Change number that must match the Control Change number for the parameter you wish to control. Detailed information on this is found in the Using Expression Pedals section of the Ground Control Pro manual under Edit Preset.

On the G-Major (1 and 2) you will assign the expression pedal to control one of Mods 1-4, then assign the programmed Mod to the parameter you want to control. These settings are found in the External Control Using Modifiers section of the G-Major 2 manual under MOD Menu.

Let us know if you get stuck anywhere!

Are you using an on/off button or a rocker type pedal for this?

There are two ways to get "solo boost" with a G-Major2.
One is to assign an Instant Access button to control the PresetBoost parameter.
The other way is to program an expression pedal to control the Preset Out Level, however achieving "boost" with an expression/volume pedal would really be only putting it all the way toe forward when you wanted it "louder". ;)
