I haven't heard much about these for a long time? I've been waiting... are they still happening? Midi Classics lists them as available 2011 Q1. Is that correct?

:D :D This thread loves to be skipped over? :D :D

C'mon John, just need to know if I'll be waiting 3 months, 6 months, a year... so I can make some decisions with my money.

Hi John,

In the past, Voodoo Lab and yourself have never shied away from telling when a product was still happening, and you were very quick to reply. In fact, a year ago you were very quick to reply that the PX8 was still happening. So with this history, it is very strange that you are totally ignoring this thread, which leads me to theorize.

Theory

I believe if the PX8 and PX4 was still happening, you would have at least said so, and just stated we still don't know a release date. This new found silence leads me to believe that they aren't happening, or you are considering that they won't happen. If you are considering not updating the Pedal Switcher line, I would have to assume that Voodoo Lab has taken note that Pedal Switching is not a profitable aspect of their product line. Thus my line of reasoning leads me to believe that you are considering either

a. you will just sell existing switching products with no further R&D
b. you are considering exiting the whole switching system business and considering selling the switching product line to another company.

FACT:
The PX4 and PX8 is still happening. :o

THEORY:
This, the only answer I can give, will not be good enough. ;)

p.s. While it is completely wrong, that is a creative guess! Sorry for my silence, but the answer remains the same... they will be made... by Voodoo Lab, even!

I bit the bullet... 2 Pedal Switchers and a Commander arrive tomorrow.

That should guarantee a release of the PX8 and PX4 within a few weeks... ;)

Setting up my board with Pedal Switchers... everything is working out well.

Here are my suggestions to Voodoo Lab for the PX4 and PX8.

1.) Use flush screws on the bottom surface, so it is a totally flat surface for pedalboard mounting. The current Pedal Switchers have rounded screws... this did not affect me as the screws fell on either side of the rail of my PedalTrain board, but since the PX4 and PX8 will be a half inch narrower, then this will not be the case, and the screws heads will land on the mounting rail.

2. Reverse the order of the buttons... it is a pain that the flow of your pedals goes in one direction, yet the flow of the buttons goes in the other direction.

The screw heads have not interfered with the velcro supplied with the Pedal Train whenever I have tried it out so I am not so sure that is of much concern.

The PX-4 and PX-8 will in fact have the switch order numbered from right to left. For the Pedal Switchers there is a replacement processor available to do the same. Give us a call or write to info@voodoolab.com if you would like to get the PX Reverse processors to mod your current Pedal Switchers.

I hope that helps!
