Tape Delay AND Whammy?

Post by Nolan » Mon May 20, 2019 1:05 am

Using a Pedal Power 2+, here’s what I’ve got connected:

1 - TC Electronic HOF Reverb, DIP: Normal
2 - TC Electronic Corona Chorus, DIP: Normal
3 - Visual Sound VS-XO, DIP: Away
4 - Voodoo Labs Micro Vibe, DIP: Normal
5 - Digitech Whammy 5th gen, DIP: Normal
6 - Empress Tape Delay, DIP: Away
7 - Fulltone Supa-Trem, DIP: Normal
8 - Fulltone Octafuzz, DIP: Away

All with the regular black cables except for the OF-2, which uses the reverse polarity.

Most of this doesn’t scare me, but I’m a little concerned about outputs 5 and 6. Am I risking current overdraw by running both whammy and tape delay at the same time like this?

I'd check to confirm that the supply is not getting hot (but warm is fine). If it's not getting hot and the pedals are all working, I'd power them all exactly as you've specified... Rock on.

Otherwise, perhaps power the Whammy from the AC courtesy outlet with its adapter/wall-wart.

Cheers!
