Hi!

I'm quite new to this whole rackthing, and I'd need some help, since I couldn't find it in the pre-made diagrams.

I want to run a Marshall JMP-1 in stereo with a Mesa/Boogie Triaxis, each into it's own poweramp.
I want my Maxon OD808 in front of them, so I guess I should put that one ine the first loop?
Then I'll use a Digitech GSP1101 for delays, choruses, etc for BOTH of the preamps. I might buy another GSP1101 so that I can run two different delays and sometimes two modulationeffects simultaneously (if ever necessary). Then I can connect one to the JMP-1 and one to the Triaxis. But for now I only have one. I'll also be using a Rocktron HUSH Super C and a Rocktron 300 compressor.

Any suggestions as to how I should wire this *? =) Putting everything into it's own loop is simple, but I guess it won't stop there?

I will controll all of the patchswitching with the Ground Control Pro. Is it even possible to have both preamps using the GSP1101 at the same time?

Thank you!

(I will post pictures of the rig when I'm all hooked up)

Take a look at the last post in this thread:

Two amp heads with 1 fx loop

This should get you started or at least point you in the right direction. However, these connections will not give you the ability to run both amps simultaneously. If that is something you want to do, we'll have to revisit this, but for now let's say you want to run them both separately.

Also, if you have a tuner, I would suggest putting that in the first loop. Connect the send jack to the tuner, but do NOT run a cable from the tuner back to the return jack. That way you get silent tuning and bypass the tuner entirely when you're not using it.

The Maxon OD808 will go in Loop 2 leaving Loop 3 open to switch amps, like this:

Loop 2 Out -> Loop 3 In
Loop 3 Out -> Primary Amp
Loop 3 Send -> Secondary Amp

I don't know where you use the compressor in your signal chain, but referring to the connections in the thread referenced above, you might want to try it in Loop 5, with the GSP1101 in Loop 6 and the Hush unit in Loop 7. However, I've always preferred having my compressor right after my OD pedals and ahead of the amp, so as an alternative you might want to try putting it in Loop 3, shifting the Loop 4 FX Loop Connections described in the other thread to Loop 5, and using Loop 4 to switch amps as described above.

Let me know how you make out.

Wow!

Thank you very much for a great reply!
I will have to run them simultaneously, though...but shouldn't it just be to actually select both loops with my GCP?

Well, I'll try it ASAP and I'll check back to tell you how it all worked out!
Again, thank you!

HEEEY! =)

You actually had solved this problem once before!
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3538

So...thank you very much! As for a tuner, I think I'll use one before everything else on my pedalboard. Seems like I'm not going to buy that compressor after all, so maybe I'll just use the compressor in the GSP1101 for the moment!

But once again, thank you!

Pics of my setup will come very soon!
/Stefan
