I'm new to the GCP and have been trying to program the presets to accept the loops of my Pedal Switchers (from my pedalboard) with no success. The manual says the switchers are recognized as the same as loops on the GCX. The GCX loops are being used as the 8 IA buttons. How do I program my pedal board into the preset banks of the GCP?
Per Page 10 of the Pedal Switcher manual:
Ground Control Pro treats Pedal Switcher loops exactly the same as GCX loops. A single Pedal Switcher is recognized as loops 1 through 4 of GCX #1. A second Pedal Switcher will be loops 5 through 8 of GCX #1 and so on.
This leads me to believe that, depending on how many Pedal Switchers you have, you will need to have the appropriate number of devices programmed into your GCPro. If you only have two, they would both be recognized as being GCX#1, but if you have more than two Pedal Switchers, you will need to add additional devices (GCX#2, GCX#3, etc.) accordingly.
Also, from what I've read on Page 10 of the GCPro manual, it's my understanding one cannot recall presets with Instant Access buttons. Working under the premise you have two Pedal Switchers and you've configured your GCPro for 4 Presets/Bank mode (which is the only way to get 8 Instant Access buttons), if you've configured everything properly, the 8 Instant Access buttons on your GCPro will only activate/deactivate your individual Pedal Switcher loops.
If you want to use a single GCPro button to activate multiple Pedal Switcher loops, your GCPro will need to be in 10 Presets/Bank mode. You can then use your Pedal Switchers to create as many presets as you like (10 per bank) and assign each one to a single GCPro button using Buttons 1 thru 9 inclusive plus Button 0. Please refer to Page 16 of the GCPro manual for info on how to create/edit presets.
Hope this helps, or at least points you in the right direction...
