I ran into this situation while posting a response for another forum member who has a Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue.

He wants to know how switch channels and turn the reverb on and off via his GCX & GCPro. The amp comes with a 2-button Fender foot switch, but it has a mono (TS) cable.

Is it possible to connect a mono cable to two GCX loops in order to control two different amp functions, and if so, would someone please enlighten me as to how to do that?

Thanks in advance!!

These amps have some circuitry in the footswitch that would need to be replicated. It has come up before but for another model of this series of amplifier I believe. The solution only requires a custom made Y cable that includes a couple of diodes. A local tech should not have much problem making this cable.

The two diodes will be commonly connected to the Tip of the amp end with each diode running individually to one Tip of the two switcher ends. One diode should have the cathode pointing towards its switcher end and the other diode should have the anode pointing towards its switcher end. Any typical diode with a 0.7v forward drop should work for this.

This cable will work for use with a GCX or a Control Switcher.

I hope this helps!

Thanks John. I'll direct the other member to this post.
