Could anyone possibly help me? I'm struggling with connecting my rack. I have a GCX and GCP with an AKG wireless, Behringer BTR 2000 tuner, ISP Decimator G-string, BD-2 Blues Driver, CS-2 Compressor/Sustainer and a TC G major 2 going into a Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue, on which I'd like to use the GCP to switch channels and reverb if possible.

I have used a ream of paper printing out the blank schematics and trying to work out the best way of connecting everything but it changes every time! I think it's the G string that throws me and the manual isn't helping.

A schematic would be really helpful if anyone could spare the time....

Do you want to run the G-Major in front of the amp or in the FX Loop?

Ideally in the FX loop.

That's what I figured but I wanted to make sure.

I also have a G-Major2 and an ISP Decimator Pro Rack G, but I've always experienced problems running them together in my amp's FX loop.

One more question: What type of jack is on the end of the foot switch, a 1/4" tip/sleeve (mono) or a 1/4" tip/ring/sleeve (stereo)..?

Well, I think I can help you out with everything but the channel and reverb switching on the amp, as I don't know how to connect a mono cable to two loops in order to control two different amp functions. Anyway, I'd suggest making your loop connections as follows:

Connect the output of your AKG wireless receiver to the Guitar In on the front of your GCX and connect the Guitar Out on the back of the GCX to the Loop 1 In.

Loop 1 Send -> G-String Guitar In; G-String Guitar Out -> Loop 1 Return; Loop 1 Out -> Loop 2 In.
When this loop is active, the guitar section of the G-String is active. Alternately, you could free up a GCX Loop by connecting the wireless output directly to the G-String Guitar In and the G-String Guitar Out to the Loop 1 In.

Loop 2 Send -> BTR 2000 In; Loop 2 Out -> Loop 3 In.
By not running a signal from your tuner back to the Loop 2 Return you will mute your rig whenever you activate Loop 1, resulting in silent tuning.

Loop 3 Send -> BD-2 In; BD-2 Out -> Loop 3 Return; Loop 3 Out -> Loop 4 In.
Loop 4 Send -> CS-2 In; CS-2 Out -> Loop 4 Return; Loop 4 Out -> Blues Deluxe Input.
I run my compressor after my OD pedals, but if you prefer to run your compressor ahead of your OD pedal, swap these loops accordingly.

Connect your amp's FX Send to the Loop 5 In, then:

Loop 5 Send -> G-Major In; G-Major Out -> Loop 5 Return; Loop 5 0ut -> Loop 6 In.
Activating this Loop will add your effects to the signal chain. When this Loop is Off, your effects are bypassed.

Loop 6 Send -> G-String Amp In; G-String Amp Out -> Loop 6 Return; Loop 6 0ut -> Blues Deluxe FX Return.
Activating this Loop will add the G-String Amp Noise Reduction to the signal chain. When this Loop is Off, the G-String amp section is bypassed.

This is another place where you may have to swap out loops 5 and 6 to see where the G-String is more effective. I also just realized that making the G-String connections like this let's you run the two noise reduction sections independently of one another, whereas if you were just running the pedal as a standalone device they would both be either on or off all the time.

If you run your GCPro in 4 Presets/Bank mode, buttons 1 thru 4 on the bottom will let you change your G-Major presets, while the 8 buttons up top will control your GCX loops. Making the connections as described above will leave two loops open for your channel switching and reverb on/off functions. Sorry I couldn't help you with that part, but I posted a new forum question to see if anyone else might know how to accomplish that and John Clark responded. Go here to see his response.
