Hi Guys . I have just brought a new GCX and a secondhand GCP , but when I connect the 2 via the 5 pin cable the GCP will not power up . if I use the seperate power adaptor it works .But Even when powered up the GCP is not talking to the GCX ( no lights on ) , any ideas .

Make sure that the cable you are using actually has all 5 pins wired. The cable packaging will usually be labeled "5-Pin Active" or "5-Pin Wired".
You should also make sure that the cable end connected to the Ground Control Pro MIDI Out is aligned properly. It is possible to force a 5-Pin cable into the 7-Pin jack with the pins misaligned.
