Hello all,

I've just bought my first PP2 after years of just using a power strip and am just starting to learn about basic electronic issues. My current setup looks like this:

American Strat >tuner>cry baby>boss NS-2 noise suppressor in>pedal doctor "tangerine squeeze" comp>SD twin tube classic OD> TS7> NS-2 out> Ernie Ball Volume Jr> Line 6 DL 4> MXR 10-band EQ> Fender Blues Jr

This means I have 5 standard 9v pedals, 1 line6 12v pedal, 1 16v pedal (SD Twin Tube Classic), and 1 18v pedal (EQ). I have the 9v pedals in PP2 inputs 1-5, the DL4 12v in 6 switched away from "normal" as instructed in the manual, the 18v EQ in 7 and 8 set to "normal" with no sag, and the twin tube classic in the courtesy AC outlet (via extension cord b/c my PP2 is mounted on the bottom of my pedaltrain pro).

So here are my questions:
1. Does the setup I've just described sound like the best way to power my pedals?
2. Is it ok to power the 18v EQ in inputs 7 and 8 set to "normal" via daisy chain cable? Do I need the y-splitter cable instead?
3. Is there any way to power the 16v Twin Tube Classic OD besides using the courtesy outlet?

Any help much appreciated!

Thanks,

Jake

Hello Jake,

The way you have it is really the best way to go so far, except for perhaps the 18V pedal. For 18V you would want to use a Voltage Doubler cable connected to any two outputs with their DIP switches set to Normal... I am unsure what cable you are currently using, but a traditional "daisy chain" cable would not work to provide 18V.

The Seymour Duncan Twin Tube Classic requires AC power and cannot be powered via the front panel DC outputs on the Pedal Power 2+. Using the supplied adapter with the Courtesy Outlet would be the only way to power this pedal via the Pedal Power 2+.

Good Luck!
