PX-8 Plus question

Post by Rickenbeatle » Sun Oct 15, 2017 11:47 am

I am sure this has been discussed but I am asking anyway. I got the PX-8 Plus not that long ago and I am not sure I have the pedals in the correct order.

My pedals are as follow:
Loop 1- Reverb
Loop 2- Delay
Loop 3- Chorus
Loop 4- Boss MD-500
Loop 5- Pitch Fork
Loop 6- Fuzz pedal

I also have a wah and volume pedal not running into the PX-8.

Do I have the order backwards or is this right?

Yea, you probably want to reverse the order of your pedals there. The PX-8 Plus doesn't change the way you would order your effects compared to not having the switcher. In general you would have fuzz and overdrive first for sure, followed by your modulation pedals, then your time based effects last in the chain.

The Wah will probably be best placed before the input to the PX-8 Plus. The Volume could either go in front with the Wah, or it can go into the Insert if you move the Delay and Reverb to Loop 7 and 8... this would allow the delay and reverb tails to still be heard when you rock the volume pedal all the way back.

I hope that helps!
