Hi, I'm looking for a solution for switching my amp channels and assinging effects all at once. I have a Mesa Boogie dual rectifier which has external switching jacks. I see that I can change the channels from the GCX and ground pro but can I switch channels, say from lead to clean, and have the clean channel with some of my effects from the loops assinged to it? ie. Can I go from lead channel with delay to the clean channel with chorus and reverb? Or does the channel switching option simply only change the channel? With the ground pro and GCX can you mix and match loops together and assign them to a preset? I hope that makes sense. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for posting, this is a common question.
You can create presets with the Ground Control Pro. Each preset includes loop settings for 4 GCXs (up to 32 loops) and program change commands for up to 8 different MIDI devices.
Each of the GCX loops can be used for channel switching, in/out effect switching, A/B routing, or muting a send (turning amps on/off).
You call up the preset and that will instantly change your configuration. So, when you press a single button, you will change amp channels, turn any effects on/off, and change programs on MIDI controlled devices (typically processors or amps).
That's the basic function. Note that "GCX loops" can also be our Pedal Switcher or Control Switcher. There are Instant Access buttons which let you turn individual effects on/off stompbox style. And a bit more...
I hope that helps!
