I'm having trouble assigning an Ernie Ball VP JR volume pedal as an expression with the GCP.
In the past I used a crapy 250k volume pedal , Bespeco VN12: http://www.bespeco.it/catalogo/detail.p ... &lingua=en

The Bespeco was connected with a Y cable – 2 x mono (from the pedal) into 1 x stereo plug (in the GCP) and it worked perfect.
I just switched to the Ernie Ball, but the problem is that the pedal effect the volume only in its first 5% of travel, it just gives all the volume change in the first 5% and the rest 95% of travel is 100% volume all the way

I wasn't aware there was a 500K VP Jr...

Anyway, check behind the jacks, just under the toe end of the treadle, to see if there is a taper switch on your VP Jr. like the one on the 250k version.

Yes you are right about the resistance, I think it's a 250 and not 500 and yes (2) you are right about the switch, there is one, ill check it with my rig and update here later.
Thanks.

I checked the little switch, I guess it's not a problem with the GCP but with the Ernie ball itself as the crapy Bespeco works perfect.
I tried the 2 positions of the little switch in the Ernie ball, the other position makes the pedal non completely silent meaning when I'm in the down position when it should be "0" volume, I get some signal, something like 10% volume so it’s not completely drives the volume to "0"

I plugged the Bespeco and it works perfect.
Don’t know what the problem with the Ernie ball though….

My apologies for questioning something so simple, but did you set up the EB Jr as described in the Using Expression Pedals section on Page 19 of the GCPro manual? If you've not done this, perhaps the existing Bespeco values don't work with the EB Jr..? In a perfect world, one would be able to swap out pedals without a second thought, but I've always had to re-set the Min and Max values when changing to a different volume/expression pedal. Just a thought...
