Hi All,

I have ordered a GCX and purchased a used GCP.

I plan on using the GCX/GCP to controll the followin rig:

Guitar -> Wah -> GCX

Loop 1 - Screddy Screwdriver
Loop 2 - Carvin X-100B / Carvin VT50 A/B
Loop 3/7 - Eventide Pitchfactor in Stereo
Loop 4/8 - Eventide Timefactor in Stereo
Loop 5 - Channel switching on X-100b
Loop 6 - Channel switching on VT50

So my question is this: Can I configure the Instant Acces function on the GCP to activate/deactivate loops 3/7 and 4/8 by pushing a single button on the GCP? So when I step on IA switch 3 I would like loops 3/7 to turn on/off and and the same for switch 4 and loops 4/8. Can someone point me to the process in the manual or describe the process here?

Thanks.

There is a mod to the GCX to make two loops respond to the same Control Change message. Please write to info@voodoolab.com and we will help get you set up.

I hope that helps!

I found another work around for my problem.

I took the pitchfactor and timefactor out of the loops and controll the bypass of those units through midi cc. The benefit here is that I can continue to run the rig in stereo and not chew up a bunch of loops. I am also able to allow the the effects to decay naturally instead of being truncated by switching off the loops.

My IA switches now look like this

1 - Screddy Screwdriver on/off (loop 1)
2 - X-100B/VT-50 A/b (loop 2)
3 - Channel switch X-100b
4 - Channel switch VT-50
5 - Bypass Timefactor
6 - Tap tempo - Timefactor
7 - Bypass Pitchfactor
8 - Not used ATM
