In order to use the GCX to control the Marshall's footswitchable functions you will need a custom cable. This cable will have the 6 pin DIN plug on one end that terminates out to multiple 1/4" ends. Here is a diagram someone would need in order to make this cable.

Hi - Very helpful information. We just need to know where to get this adapter/connector you have pictured.

We are also adding two more multi-channel amps to the rig (a second Marshall TSL60 and a Ceriatone Overtone HRM) Besides these two additional amps, we are thinking about using a Roland Jazz Chorus to run our guitar synth system.

MIDI devices
we are using Eventide Ultraharmonizer H3000 (XLR in and outs) and Roland SX-700 (1/4" in and outs) and TC Electronics G-Force or 2290.

What are we going to need to run all these amp channels and be able to switch in our MIDI devices in parallel?

Thank you!

A single loop of a GCX or single switch of the Control Switcher will control a single function on an amplifier. There are 8 functions alone between the two Marshal amps.

because crunch/lead is the same 1/4" jack, would you press the button assigned to CC once for crunch and a second time for lead? How would you then assign a preset?

Thanks,
Mark

Thank you very much for the information, John

When the GCX loop is on you will be on one channel and when the loop is off you will be the other channel... saving the state of the loop with a preset will recall the appropriate channel with the preset.

I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a 5 pin Din connector with a opening out the back of the connector large enough for 4 wires (same as above but 5 pin instead of 6)

so in otherwords jack 1 will activate clean channel when loop 1 is on,
jack 2 will activate crunch channel when on and lead channel when off.
jack 3 will activate reverb when loop 3 is active and will turn it off when loop 3 is inactive. and jack 4 will turn the effects loop on and off the same way as jack 3?

sorry for all the questions, im just not very familiar with this aspect of the GCX.

I do not understand how you can have 2 functions with one jack. For example i understand that if the appropriate loop is on with the gcx, you can change the channel to lead. However i do not understand how the loop being off will change the channel. how would you make a IA button for the "loop off" function? how would a loop being off have any effect at all?
