I am having problems with my Voodoo Midi gear. I will be playing as normal and after awhile all of my midi stuff will quit responding to my GCP. I will press my patch changes on my GCP and my amp won't switch channels or my midi fx won't change patches. My GCX won't open/close loops as indicated by the lights on the front.

Any ideas? Am I having some sort of midi 'crosstalk' or something else that could be causing this? If I power down my gear and restart my GCP, the problem goes away until it happens again later.

Here is my signal flow...
GCP midi out ->Voodoo Swicher in -> Switcher Out -> GCX in -> GCX out -> Digitech GSP1101 in -> GSP1101 out -> Strymon Timeline in

Midi Channels:
Switcher - 16, responds to CCs 88-91 on this channel
GCX - ?
GSP1101 - 1
Timeline - 2

Do the GCX LEDs not change at all when the problem occurs? Do they all go dark or do they just stay in whatever the last state was? Does the GCX Active LED flash when pressing the preset buttons on the Ground Control Pro?

1. No, the lights do not change at all.
2. The lights just stay in the last state it was in.
3. No, the active LED does not flash when pressing a button on the GCP.

As a test, can you try running the GCX before the Control Switcher in the MIDI path?
