Hi,

I'm using a GCX to control 3 different amps.
Before this, I used a Amp Selector pedal, and had to use the Ground lift switches to avoid a big hum in all amps.
Now with the GCX, the hum is back, and their is now ground lift switches to solve the problem.
What can I do to avoid this hum and buzz ?

Thanks,
Pierre

I dismantled everything today to see how can be the source of the buzz and find this.
I have 3 amps, a Mesa Roadster (let's call this one #1), a PRS 410B (#2) and a PRS recording amp (#3).
It's seem like an issue between #1 and #3.
I tried different ways of plugging two or the 3 amps in parallel (Y-cable, stereo pedal and GCX) and always the same conclusion : when #1 and #2 together or #2 and #3 together, no buzz issue at all, but as soon as #1 and #3 are together, a hum appears.
With the Amps Selector, I used Ground lift switches to solve that, but how can I do this with the GCX ?

Thanks for your help !

You can cut the ground connection within instrument the cables feeding one or two of the amps... the same amps that required you to use the Ground Lift switches when you used the Amp Selector.
