Anyone know what the mA draw is on the pt-100 fender tuner?

If you use a Y connecter on the PP2 (other than outlets 5 and 6) where the max mA is 100, is it OK to double up on on these channels as long as you do not exceed a combined total of 100 mA?

How accurate are the reported power draws?

How much cushion should you leave yourself?

Will you damage the pedals if the combined mA is over 100 or will the pedals just run weaker?

Any help appreciated!

I am unable to find reliable information on the tuner's actual current draw.

The Split Output Y cable can be used from any output but you must mind the current limit for the output used. As long as the combined current draw of the two devices is less than the maximum available from the output used then all should be fine.

As for the accuracy of the current draw... I guess that would be zero, since I couldn't really find any reference to the current draw... The amount of "padding" required would be directly related to the accuracy in this case ;)

Starving a device for current would be much like letting the battery run low... it better not damage the pedal! Likely it just would not sound good, or, as is the case of some digital pedals, it would either prevent initial power up or you could experience intermittent shut downs.

I think the best bet here would be to experiment with what pedals you can combine together to find the pairings that play nicely together. What other pedals are you using? Are you using outputs 5 and 6 for something that requires the higher current?

My pedals in order are as follows (I listed the manufacturers power draws):

-Fender PT-100 tuner - ?mA
-Morley Bad Horsie 2 Wah - 16mA
-Keeley Comp, 4 button - 5mA
-Ibanez Gemini Distortion - 49mA
-Boss Harmonist PS-6 - 45mA
-MXR EVH Phase 90 - 8.2mA
-MXR Flanger, model 117 (30 years old, AC power)
-Ibanez Chorus SC10 - 21mA
-Rocktron Reaction Hush - 30mA
-Boss Dig Delay DD-3 - 65mA

I would dare say that each of those appear to be the actual current draw rather than simply the numbers that match the total possible output of the supplied or optional power adapter. Finding a pair of pedals that works well together on a Split Output Y cable with that set of pedals should be no problem.

Good Luck!
