Hello Everyone,
I have a question, has anyone ever used the voodoo sparkle drive with a way hugh fat sandwich?
Is that over kill, what did it sound like and could the clean on the sparkle drive be used to play funk

Not too sure exactly what you could expect from these two pedals together, however it is not uncommon to use a distortion and an overdrive together. What are you trying to accomplish? Are you looking for more gain?
The Clean side of the Sparkle Drive is just that... clean. It doesn't really sound like anything on its own as it is rather transparent. The Sparkle Drive essentially becomes a clean boost with the Clean knob all the way up. This is more for pushing the input section of your amplifier. A little bit of the clean side can be used to blend with the overdrive side to fill out the rather compressed sound of the TS-808 overdrive circuit.
I see no reason that the Sparkle Drive couldn't be used to Funk around!
