Newbie needs advice

Post by dhtrumpet » Fri Aug 25, 2017 10:33 pm

Hi,

I am putting together a very simple pedalboard. I will have two Eventide H9 pedals and an Eventide MixingLink sitting on a Pedaltrain Nano. What is my best bet for power? Bonus points if it fits under the Nano!

Thanks!

A Pedal Power Digital will power all three of these, no problem! However it will not fit under a PT Nano.

Slightly larger, but our Dingbat Small will fit a Pedal Power Digital and these three pedals quite nicely ;)

I hope that helps!

Since the Eventide pedals are positive center, would I need polarity reversing cables?

Sorry to not point that out... The Pedal Power Digital comes with the necessary cables to connect to your Eventide boxes.

The H9's will use the cables with the one Red end to match their 2.5mm Center Positive power jacks and can be powered from the 12V Outputs to the left.

The MixingLink will use one of the standard all black barrel cables to match its 2.1mm Center Negative power jack and can be powered from any of the 9V outputs to the right.

I hope that helps!

Thanks! Ordered mine today! :D

I thought the H9s are 9V. Is there an advantage to using the 12V outputs?

The H9 accepts 9V-12V, the one I have here is printed this way right next to the power jack ;)

I don't know if there is any sonic advantage, but we suggest using the 12V outputs due to the H9 having a lower current draw at 12V.

Good Luck!
