Mondo Fan Noise

Post by matthewterrado » Sun Jul 09, 2017 4:01 pm

Anyone with a voodoo lab mondo ever get noise from the fan inside of it?
I've had my mondo for a while with no problem but recently I'm getting a weird noise coming from my guitar intermittently. It's a high pitch noise that sounds like something is charging up and running for a bit and then it goes away but after a minute or two it comes back on. It's not my guitar because my friend plugged his bass into my board and the same thing happened so it has to be my board. The only thing I can think of is the fan in the mondo being the culprit. The noise sounds like a fan firing up and running for a while until it stops. I've had to send my mondo in for a repair before because one of the outlets suddenly stopped working. Maybe I got a lemon?

It should be almost impossible for the fan to create noise on the audio, but lets take a look at what you have going on. Do you see the fan running when you hear the noise? What pedals are you powering and which outputs are they connected to?
