High current output on Iso-5

Post by houseofwolves » Thu Jun 29, 2017 9:29 am

Does the high current output on the Iso-5 not work for low current 9V pedals? None of my Boss or EHX pedals work from this output. The first three outputs power my Boss/EHX stuff just fine, but the 9V high current output does not power them at all.

Am I only able to power 3 low current 9V pedals with the Iso-5?

The High Current 9V should be fine for any pedal that draws less than the maximum rating... or any pedal that works from the 100mA outputs should also be perfectly fine from the High Current output. A pedal will only draw the amount of current it needs to operate.

When you tested this output with these pedals, did you have a guitar cable connected to their Input jack? Most battery operated effects need a guitar cord plugged into them in order to power up in the first place. This is a way of saving battery life since unplugging the guitar from the pedal will also cut the power to the circuit.
