Pigtronix Echolution

Post by mattisr » Wed Nov 18, 2009 5:38 am

I'm thinking about buying the Pigtronix Echolution delay pedal, which requires 15V. Is it possible to power this pedal with the Voodoo Pedal Power 2 Plus?

Because the Echolution requires 15v it will have to be powered from the Courtesy Outlet on the back of the Pedal Power 2+ using the supplied adapter.

The upcoming Pedal Power Versa will have a 15V output that should be able to power the Echolution directly.

I hope that helps!

The owner of Pigtronix suggest that i set the SAG outlets at 7.5v each, and then use the PPY connector cable to bring the total voltage to 15v. I have done this, and am still not able to get the pedal up and running.

is this possible?

Thanks

The SAG controls can be used to dial in the voltage required. These outputs are limited to 100mA so it is possible that the Echolution requires more than 100mA. Are you using a PPY cable that we made?

ok. just talked to dave again. i'll need at least 200mA to power the pedal. in that case, what will the current output be if i combine a line6 output at 9v and 250mA with 6v 100mA SAG output? and yes, im using a ppy your company made. thanks

Plug it in. Try it out. Let us know what you find.

We normally don't recommend using the SAG as part of a Y in order to dial down from 18v because we have no way of knowing what will happen to a pedal if the SAG knob were to get bumped. As long as you are careful this should not be a problem. I see by the emails you have sent when discussing this same situation that you are thinking to use rubber cement or some such glue to "lock" the SAG knob... this should be fine to do. Have fun!
