HELP! making own cable for 5/6 outputs on PP2

Post by Raymatt » Sat Feb 18, 2017 11:18 am

Iv been trying to make a longer cable for my line 6 delay.
No success.
So...
How does one do this properly?
What size connectors do I need?
What size wire?
Is the hook up different on both different sizes of connectors?
I love powerplus, I'm using 2 on my board.
But I've had to custom make some of my own cables, the ones provided are to short for some pedals.
The only cable giving me trouble is the one mentioned.

Please, someone be my knight in pedalpower armor and save me!

If your Line 6 Delay is a DL-4 then you will need a 2.5mm plug for the pedal end of the cable wired reversed from the 2.1mm end... this makes the DL-4 end "Center Positive". I don't think wire gauge is of much concern here but probably wouldn't want to go smaller than about 24AWG.

Also we do sell a "Build Your Own" cable complete with the connector and we do also make custom cables.

I hope that helps!
