I understand clearly:
The voltage doubler cable only doubles voltage [ 1 and 2 = 18v 100ma ]
The current doubler cable only doubles current [ 1 and 2 = 9v 200ma ]

But, on the PP2+ with all DIPs to normal where port 6 would be 9v 250ma and port 7 would be 9v 100ma,
what will the output current be if I use a voltage doubler cable on 6 and 7?
18v (X)ma

My guess would be 250ma, but I want to make sure first.

Much thanks!

Actually, you would be limited by capacity of the lower rated output in that case... so 18V@100mA.

What are you trying to power?

Pigtronix Infinity.
I've read the other posts regarding the Infinity in the Pedal Power threads but didn't see anyone trying to do what I had asked about. I have one other pedal on my board that requires >100mA (EHX Enigma) so voltage doubling the two 250 outputs is not an option. I do have the courtesy AC outlet available to just run the Infinity's supplied adapter, but I have my PP2+ mounted underneath a Pedaltrain with the pre-aligned access holes so I would need a short extension cord or a little 2in ground adapter type outlet plug to clear the frame. Not the most clean looking and requires me to plug/unplug it every time I set up. Though I'd actually rather use the courtesy outlet to save me from daisy-chaining a few other low-current pedals, I wanted to explore options and see if I could make it work without the AC outlet.
For reference, I am currently running (not in this order):
Future Impact > single 100ma output
Iron Ether Subterranea > single100ma output
EHX Enigma > single 250ma output
EHX Bass Pi > single 100ma output
Boss Tera Echo > single 100ma output
MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe > single 100ma output
Voodoolab Ground Control > single 250ma output with red AC cable
Daisy chained on one 100ma output:
MXR Bass Comp
One Control Black Loop
EHX Switchblade+
Boss Line Selector

250mA isn't quite enough current for a Ground Control (or Ground Control Pro)... I wouldn't go below about 400mA for one of these.

With the number of pedals you are running, you may want to look to adding a Pedal Power ISO-5, or swap to a Pedal Power Mondo.
The ISO-5 would power the Infinity from its 18V output, as well as the Ground Control from its High Current 9V output. You would then have the 250mA output on your Pedal Power 2+ for something else and three more 100mA 9V outputs to split up that daisy chain.

I hope that helps!

What would the short and long term effects be of running the GC at 9v250ma?

Damage to PP2+? Damage to GC?

I haven't had any issues yet and only use it to change patches on the FI, but it's only been three months since I picked up the GC.

I fairly consistently am running the board setup as mentioned for spans of 3hours on gigs and 4+hours when working at home or in studio (but not as continuous of use when home/studio).

There shouldn't be any damage, but the Ground Control may freeze up at any moment due to the low power situation. Load a preset with a lot of 8s, or Bs in the name and "BLINK" nothing works anymore mid song and your crazy bass synth sound for a solo is all you can hear now. ;)
It's likely just been luck that nothing has happened yet, but 250mA just isn't enough current to reliably power a Ground Control.

Well, good to know. I was curious about the GC from the get-go. I originally had everything daisy changed with a One Spot and adding the Ground Control introduced noise which was the original reason I bought a PP2+. The manual only stated to "use the included 9v power supply" and I couldn't find the specs for it from google.

Much thanks!
