Daisy chaining power from PPP2 to three pedal switcher pedals and one commander

Post by FFA » Tue Mar 26, 2019 12:58 pm

Does anyone know what the current requirements of the voodoo lab floor pedal switcher is? I have three plus a commander and limited power outputs.

Thanks

Pedal Switcher(s) cannot be daisy-chained, they need to be powered from isolated outputs or there will be significant hum/buzz noise.

That said, 3 Pedal Switchers and a Commander could be powered with Pedal Power 2 Plus using four outputs (#5, 6 and two of 1-4) and a Current Doubler Adapter, part# PPAP.

But... before explaining further, does this still seem like a desirable possibility for your situation?

Thanks for the help but why 4 outputs when the commander can be phantom powered by one of the switches?

Because, one of the three Pedal Switchers will need to be powered using two outputs, setup:

To power the 3rd Pedal Switcher use a Current Doubler Adapter, part# PPAP in any two of outputs 1-4, DIP switches set away from normal (12VDC) and with the supplied red/black ended cable (it's 2.1mm/2.5mm reverse polarity and the red end fits the Pedal Switcher).

Thanks REZ! Just to clarify outputs 5 and 6 dip switches remain in the off position while 1 and 2 ( assuming I use these two with doubler) are on?

Ah... sorry for not specifying previously.

The DIP switches for outputs 5 and 6 (powering 2 x Pedal Switcher and 1 x Commander) would also be set AWAY from the normal 9V setting.
