Can you please recommend a power brick for this setup?

Post by Uriel » Mon Aug 12, 2019 4:20 am

Hi!

I'm putting together this small bedroom rig and I'd like to see how feasible it would be to power everything with the same brick. Here's the gear I'm putting together:

Morley Vai-2 Wah (average 9v)
Digitech Whammy DT (9v 1300mA DC)
Yamaha THR10X (15v)

I believe the "curve ball" is the THR10X =\

Furthermore, if there's no way to power the THR and I were to remove it from the equation, for the Wah + Whammy, can I go with the ISO-5? Would I need an adapter for the whammy?

Thanks in advance!

Indeed, nothing for the Yamaha THR10X, but for the other two any one of these could be used:

Pedal Power ISO-5

Pedal Power X4

Pedal Power 2 Plus

To power the Morley Vai-2 Wah use any 9VDC output with one of the all black (standard polarity) cables supplied.

To power the Whammy DT use a 9VDC high current capacity output with one of the all black (standard polarity) cables supplied. Note, the actual current draw of the Whammy DT is less than 250mA.

Yes, I was expecting that I'd need to settle without the THR. But that's fine.

I believe I'll go with the ISO-5 then!

Thanks for the info!

Looking to do something similar.

Using a Pedal Power 2 Plus, could the AC Auxilary connect to the THR adapter via an IEC C14 (Kettle) to C5 (Cloverleaf) Lead and power it that way? THR adapter is marked as 'Input Rating: 100-240V 50/60Hz 1.1A Output Rating: DC 15V 3A'

Thanks
