Re: Advice for Noise gate

If you go with the Sentry I would connect the guitar path as early as possible maybe even in front of the buffer, and place the gate path just before the G-Major2 since it will likely be providing delay and reverb that you don't want gated. If used this way, the gate will trigger off the bare guitar...

Re: GCX and Ground Control. Connections.

What if I want to run a Volume Pedal plugged into the Ground Control but at the START of the FX loop of my amp? Using the previous link as an example, can the volume/expression pedal be programmed to engage between loops 4 & 5? That way the volume swells are post-gain, but pre-time FX? I imagine th...

Re: Which power supply should I get?

The Receiver in the GLXD16 system will accept 9-15V DC. It will actually be fine to power with the DIP Switch in either position, but there is a potential headroom increase at a higher Voltage, so I just defaulted to setting that way. Sorry to not explain that choice in the first go around!

Re: Bcc gcp

I merged the two threads so they are all together ;)

From your other thread I see you also have the GCX... are GCX any loops connected to the 1/4" Reverb Footswitch Jack on the back of the amp? If so, its probably best to disconnect this.

Also, exactly which model of Legacy amp is this?

Re: Ground Control Pro with Line 6 M5

Also, what is the MIDI cable path in this setup?

Also, as a test, if you connect the Ground Control Pro MIDI Out directly to the M5 MIDI In does the M5 respond?

Re: GCP for Helix Native Software (mac)

You should be able to do at least some basic controls, the Ground Control Pro will send MIDI Program Changes and Control Change messages. No problem to connect the Ground Control Pro to a MIDI Interface.

I hope that helps!

Re: Mesa Boogie Triple Crown w/ Ground Control Pro

That should be MIDI Control Change 25, on whatever MIDI Channel (1-16) you are already using to control any of the the other amp functions. Unless you have changed it on the amp, or have multiple MIDI Devices programmed into the Ground Control Pro, you will likely be using MIDI Channel 1. On the Gro...

Re: Midi chain: Does the GCX has to come first?

Our switchers don't have to be first, but sometimes other MIDI gear can eat up our messages. Try it out in any order that is most convenient to wire up. For gear that only has a "MIDI Out", check in their programming menus for setting the MIDI Out as a MIDI Thru. If all else fails, you can get a MID...

Re: Can GP work via link with GCP ...?

The Original Ground Control does not have any of the Link Modes... it doesn't even have a MIDI IN ;) You can send Program Changes from the Original Ground Control to remotely recall presets on the Ground Control Pro. This would be just setting the original Ground Control to have its one MIDI Device ...

Re: Can a Pedal Switcher phantom power a 2nd Pedal Switcher?

Oops, not sure how I missed this one! To confirm, no the Pedal Switchers do not accept Phantom Power, so no, you cannot power a second one and have it provide to the first one. I seem to recall Pedal Switchers causing a buzz when powered on a daisy chain, but I no longer have two of them here to tes...
