Re: PX8 + loss of sound

Does each pedal work as it should when it is the only effect selected?

As a test, if you directly connect the problematic pedals do you get the same problem? For instance...
1. Guitar to OCD.
2. OCD to Pickle Vibe.
3. Pickle Vibe to amp.

Re: Advice for Noise gate

I'm suggesting the Sentry gate path be in the amp's effects loop... this places it after the preamp section so it catches any hissing from higher gain settings, but it needs to be before the G-Major2 so it doesn't cut off delay repeats or reverb tails. I'd plan on connecting it direct into the effec...

Re: GCP, GCX, Strymon Setup

I think the outcome is the same, but to clarify on how the GCX is controlled... It isn't that the GCX is responding to a Program Change, its that once a GCX is enabled, the Ground Control Pro Presets are programmed with the state of all GCX loops. Each preset then sends the string of all eight Contr...

Re: GCP, GCX, Strymon Setup

The Ground Control Pro does not need to be in 4 Presets per Bank Mode to control a GCX. Where the 4 Presets per Bank Mode comes in is if you want to control individual GCX loops within a preset and/or for controlling other parameters on a MIDI device like bypass or tap tempo for instance. If you use...

Re: PX-8 Plus: FX Loop Problems

So there was no hum when you had the jumpers set to Quiet Switching, just the tonal change? did the hum happen even with all loops bypassed? Just to be sure we have things connected properly, here is a quick rundown of the necessary connections. All connections should be made directly with a single ...

Re: Advice for Noise gate

If you go with the Sentry I would connect the guitar path as early as possible maybe even in front of the buffer, and place the gate path just before the G-Major2 since it will likely be providing delay and reverb that you don't want gated. If used this way, the gate will trigger off the bare guitar...

Re: GCX and Ground Control. Connections.

What if I want to run a Volume Pedal plugged into the Ground Control but at the START of the FX loop of my amp? Using the previous link as an example, can the volume/expression pedal be programmed to engage between loops 4 & 5? That way the volume swells are post-gain, but pre-time FX? I imagine th...

Re: Which power supply should I get?

The Receiver in the GLXD16 system will accept 9-15V DC. It will actually be fine to power with the DIP Switch in either position, but there is a potential headroom increase at a higher Voltage, so I just defaulted to setting that way. Sorry to not explain that choice in the first go around!

Re: Bcc gcp

I merged the two threads so they are all together ;)

From your other thread I see you also have the GCX... are GCX any loops connected to the 1/4" Reverb Footswitch Jack on the back of the amp? If so, its probably best to disconnect this.

Also, exactly which model of Legacy amp is this?
