Re: Struggling to activate loops
There are a few possibilities here... 1. I wasn't able to quickly get a manual for the LS10 so I'm not sure if it does this, but make sure that these loops are not programmed to act in a momentary mode. 2. Make sure you are not sending conflicting MIDI data. If you are using both Program Change and ...

Re: GCX and Ground Control. Connections.
Hi John, I must apologize as I posed the question before reading the manuals. I will also be using a TC Gmajor2. More importantly, I will be using my volume pedal's "Tuner Out" jack. I love that the Ground Control's expression port can use my volume pedal and convert the movement to MIDI data. Usin...

Re: PX-8 Plus Insert Loop
The Insert does not function like another loop, it is simply a split between Loops 6 and 7. This can be used to connect a Volume Pedal so it is after any overdrives or to break up the loops to route Loops 1-6 to the front of an amp and have Loops 7 and 8 in the Effects Loop... those are the common u...

Re: PX8 + loss of sound
The problem is solved. The loss of sound came from a default to my patch cables! Glad you were able to solve the problem and that it was as simple as a failing patch cable! I would like to know if preselection mode is obliged to assign a channel to have a clean sound? A PX-8 Plus Preset can have an...

Re: Compressor Pedal for Metal?
I suppose I'd try an EQ pedal before looking to a Compressor here. I've had good luck with the MXR "KFK" 10-Band EQ... and if Kerry (F'n) King ain't metal, I don't know what is. \m/

Re: Gcx and stereo rig sound issues
I am not 100% sure about using the MiniMixII this way, but I can offer that you would only need Loops 2 & 3 to be able to A/B/Y/Mute the two preamp sections. Also, you may want to use the Loop Sends rather than the Outs so you keep the Loop Status LEDs indicating ON for "Live"... 1. FX Send Amp #1 t...

Re: Controling the Channel/Crunch/Effects loop switching on a Peavey 6505 Plus head with midi?
Are you maybe trying to use a regular MIDI Cable between the Control Switcher MULTI Jack and the Footswitch Jack on the amp? If so, immediately unplug that cable from your amp! The MULTI jack needs a custom made cable to interface most amps and the 6505+/5150 II is certainly one of them. We can make...

If you power the Overdrive on a battery do you get the same noise?

Re: Gcx and stereo rig sound issues
The diagram shown upthread should work as a great guideline for this setup. In that diagram Loop 4 is selecting the preamp sections via the FX Sends in order to A/B switch between them. The pedals are feeding to both preamp sections but they are not ever used at the same time, it is just easier, and...

Re: Gcx gcp carvin legacy
OK, so the original Legacy amp used a TRS jack for the footswitch. To correctly control the footswitch functions you will need an Insert Point Cable. This is like a Y cable but it has a single TRS (stereo) end that breaks out to two TS (mono) ends, sometimes labeled "Tip" and "Ring". The TS ends wil...
