Re: Can Any Kind Soul Make me a Diagram

Oops, sorry I missed this one! I think I'd probably start with a volume pedal after the Alembic preamp output. If its a stereo volume pedal maybe right before the inputs to the loops for the Nova Delay. Either way, it will do better volume swells after the preamp but it will still let the delay repe...

Re: GCP V2 Beta EEprom

Hi there, I have 2 GCPs both with V2 beta Eprom. The first GCP is set to 10 presets linked from midi out to midi in to the second GCP set to IA 12 which send midi out to GCX (as suggested in Matt's post > Thanks Matt!) The problem is that they don't seem to talk to each other and, moreover, there i...

Re: PX-8 and MIDI controller

When the original PX-8 (or PX-8+) is set to "Loop Strip" mode it can store up to 128 presets. "Loop Strip" mode, where buttons 1-8 directly control Loops 1-8, is the default mode for the original PX-8. You will need to enable MIDI Program Change and assign the MIDI Channel your MIDI Controller will ...

Re: GCP+GCX with Midi Solutions

If you will no longer be directly connecting the Ground Control Pro MIDI Out to the GCX Pedal In, you will not have Phantom Power without either making an interface box or other custom solution to modify the Thru to pass the power to the Ground Control Pro. It wouldn't be too difficult to modify a T...

Re: Marshall DSL 40c + Control Switcher + GT 100

First up, I'm sorry, I mistake'd (well, I say its a word now ;) ) that your amp used a Multipin DIN jack for the footswitch. Your amp actually uses a 1/4" TRS jack, so all you need is what is known as an Insert Point Cable (sometimes also called a Stereo Breakout cable). This looks like a "Y" cable ...

Re: GCP with Eleven Rack question.

I think maybe we are getting crossed up here on some terminology... The "CH01" indicates the MIDI Channel the currently selected button will use to send MIDI data, NOT the button number. All your Instant Access buttons will likely be on "CH01" since you have only the one MIDI Device. If you later ad...

Re: Marshall DSL 40c + Control Switcher + GT 100

Welcome to the forum! No problem at all to have the GT-100 control the Control Switcher which in turn will control your amp. Each Preset in the GT-100 will not give you the choice to set the Control Switcher to select the appropriate amp channel and to set the Reverb on or off. For your specific que...

Re: Can Any Kind Soul Make me a Diagram

Yea, this setup uses only mono cables throughout. About the two choruses... sure you could use two but it isn't exactly going to make it stereo. A single chorus in front of the Y split will still provide a chorused sound out both amps in case that was not clear. In fact, this setup as drawn will hav...

Re: Can Any Kind Soul Make me a Diagram

Wow, I must be slipping!

The only change would be to use the Y-Cable from the Out of Loop 2 on GCX #2 and connect it to the In of Loops 3 and 7. The Out of Loop 1 to the In of Loop 2 will be a standard Mono cable.

I hope that helps!

Re: Can the PX8 switch channels on the mesa TC50?

Yes, a PX-8 or PX-8+ will recall stored presets on the TC-50. The PX-8 has three presets and the PX-8+ has 36 presets. Each preset will send a fixed MIDI Program Change message and you will set the amp to respond appropriately. Here are the steps to program the amp: 1. Select a preset on the PX-8 or...
