Re: GCX + GCP + Marshall JCM2000 DSL100 channel switch issue

The GCX was designed to be powered from a 9V AC power supply. But, it does have a full wave rectifier circuit so it will also accept DC power. However, when using a DC source it should be run at 12V. 9VDC will not reliably switch the relays... that is likely what you are actually seeing as the probl...

Re: GCX + GCP + Marshall JCM2000 DSL100 channel switch issue

We received the pictures, but I don't see any signs of any mods or problems that would explain this behavior.

How exactly are you powering this GCX?

Re: Which pedal power for Lexicon JamMan, ART X-12

Hello, belated thanks for that info. The Lexicon power supply has stopped working. My question is, given that the Output on the Lexicon MSA AC adapter says 9vAC/1A, would a 9V 1200mA output jack on a PPAC work? Thanks in advance. Sure! The Pedal Power AC would do it. However it was discontinued qui...

Re: Commander to Eleven Rack

Commander was indeed powered by the Pedal Switcher. Without the Pedal Switcher you would need something that provides Phantom Power over MIDI or modify the Commander to add a power jack.

The Eleven Rack does not provide Phantom Power.

I hope that helps!

Re: GCX + GCP + Marshall JCM2000 DSL100 channel switch issue

Based on years of seeing modded GCXs coming in to be put back to stock, the mod will likely stand out quite clearly once you remove the top cover. ;) Take pictures of the inside and send them to info@voodoolab.com (The forum has limited bandwidth for good pictures, you can email them at full resolut...

Re: Control switcher question

Hello, I have exactly the same problem. Tested all configurations according to the manual. Midi channel on the Helix and switcher is 1. PC und CC is activated on the switcher (LED 1 & LED 2). CC is default on the switcher (80-83). When I send for example a CC80 from the Helix I would it expect to a...

Re: GCX + GCP + Marshall JCM2000 DSL100 channel switch issue

The behavior suggests that the loops are connected together somehow. If there is no other cable connected to Loop 4, and this was purchased used, then it would seem likely that someone had this GCX modified to series connect the loops internally. It isn't an uncommon mod but it severely limits the G...

Re: GCX + GCP + Marshall JCM2000 DSL100 channel switch issue

Does Loop 4 have any other cable connected to it besides the one leading to the footswitch jack on the amp?

Did you get this GCX new?

Re: Newbie building a Rack

I believe your diagram setup would be great. Right on! For heat concerns you could leave a blank space above the worst offenders... the preamps and the power amp. The 2:90 does have a fan in it so you'll want to be sure that is as clear as possible (ie. not a bunch of cables tucked in front of the f...

Re: Gcx, GCP and triaxis using both outputs

Oh sorry, yes you can absolutely still use the GCX for other effects even if you don't use it for the G-Major 2. You can route any number of GCX loops to the front of your Triaxis, so far you've mentioned 2 pedals and that you want to add more so lest say four loops for now... your front end effects...
