Re: Jamie Kime
Andi, There is more footage from that gig, and a studio session that haven't been made public yet. The studio stuff has close ups of his board. I hope to get some of that editing very soon. Having played his rig many times, I can tell you that most of what's on there is old stuff made by Jeorge Trip...

Re: Ground Control Pro and GCX Audio Switcher problem
Neil,
The Ground Control Pro and GCX do not come pre-configured to talk to each other. On page 9 of your Ground Control Manual, you will see a section that tells you how to enable you GCX to talk to the GC Pro. Did you do that yet?
Thanks,
JS

Re: EVH 5150III and Control Switcher
Since the test lab and myself are the only ones with switchers, it took a little time to get the specs on that specific amp. I just spoke with Dave Friedman, who built Ed's current touring rig, and he confirms that our multi-DIN connector can be configured to work with those heads. It will require a...

Re: PIN spec for the GCX, please - homemade backup needed
Oh yes, the Ground Link. I used an original Ground Control with Ground link for most of the '90s. Here's the thing, the Ground Link uses MIDI just like the Ground Control. What gets sent over the MIDI cable are control change numbers telling the GCX what loops to turn off or on. It's all in the digi...

Re: Guitar Player Hendrix Demo
Thanks Frank! The head is a stock 1966 JTM50 with EL34 tubes. At the time I did that, it had a set of old Mullard power tubes. I used a stock Marshall cab with original 25-watt speakers. The biggest problem I have with this stuff is that unless you can get the volume up, the head sounds thin, and th...

Re: Making friends with PROCTAVIA
Yup, that's the best setting, no boost and driving a great tube amp. That's pretty much what this is: http://www.voodoolab.com/audio/Hazy.mp3 Also Tim Pierce does some great stuff here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rd179MkGVMg&feature=channel_page Chords can sound really cool with the classic Octa...

Jamie Kime - Zappa Plays Zappa - Rig Demo Video
We just put up some cool video of Jamie Kime from Zappa Plays Zappa demoing his Pedal Switcher and Commander rig. You can see it on our YouTube Page here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYX6RGPX7Ic It was filmed during soundcheck in Santa Rosa, CA. Also, a high-res version will likely appear on our ...

Re: News on the Giggity and Sparkle Drive Mod
We're getting very close. Sound design is pretty much solid, and we're tying up some minor cosmetic things. I'd love to tell you a date, but I don't want to eat those words later.
But I will say that when we feel like we're within a month of shipping units, I will make an anouncment here first!

Great rig Monk. I dig using the Pedal Switcher units on the rack shelf too.

Re: Control more than Amp Channels
Brad, there's a lot going on here. To start, a Control Switcher can do up to 4 functions. The multi-pin out is the same 4 functions, but on a DIN connector for amps that use that style connector instead of normal 1/4-inch footswitch jacks. I don't have a lot of experience with the Boss GT-10, but si...
