Re: Cable routing - MIDI Question

What is a "Midimate controller cable"? You can connect the PC MIDI out into the Ground Control Pro MIDI in and the MIDI out to your Axe-Fx. Alternately, if the PC is at your rack and you don't want to run an extra MIDI cable back to the GCP on the floor, you can combine the PC & GCP with an external...

Re: Pedal Switcher Dimensions?

Hi Hans, Nice talking to you on the phone today. The Pedal Switcher is 11.8" (300mm) wide x 3.0" (76mm) deep x 1.5" (38mm) tall. The new PX8 Pedal Switcher with 8 loops will be 21.5" (546mm) wide x 2.5" (64mm) deep x 1.5" (38mm) tall. Note that the height is for the chassis only and does not include...

Re: Energy-use of GCX Audio-Switcher?

I contacted the manufacturer of this converter, Luoyang Dingyue in China. According to them, this is a normal stepdown transformer, so it should work fine. A stepdown transformer working properly will not cause any additional noise. But, since I haven't tested this one myself, I can't guarantee the ...

Re: Energy-use of GCX Audio-Switcher?

Since the GCX is phantom powering the Ground Control Pro, you need to provide enough power for both. This requires 9VAC at 1A. If you are using our supplied adapter, you would be safe to power this with a stepdown transformer with a rating of 15VA or more. I'm not sure what you have for a converter....

Re: Accessing the sound banks in TC Electronic G-Force

Hi Dennis, Normally you would find the presets you want to use and copy them to the user bank. This allows you to directly access 100 presets without having to bother with bank selection. The current GCP version does not support bank change commands. It is much better to find and develop the sounds ...

Re: daisy chainng effects and the Pedal Power+misc. questions

Hello, I am emailing you today because I have some questions concerning the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus. I Run my pedals in a rack, through a GCX switching system. My issue is that the pedal power is in my rack but due to the short length of the cable the pedals often become unplugged when I pull...

Re: POD XT Live, Ground Control setup

I am very much considering purchasing both the MIDI Ground Controller as well as the GCX. However, I am rather new to MIDI and making this purchase would be dependant on being able to use the equipment as follows: My intention is to have a one-stop-shop way to switch among various combinations of e...
