Re: BOSS BF-2 from 1996

Yes, that is precisely the correct understanding. When powering an older Boss ACA type pedal from its external power jack, 12VDC is required (if 9VDC is used on the external power jack, the LED is generally dim, indicating insufficient power). And in fact, as the older Boss ACA type adapters are unr...

Re: Can you please recommend a power brick for this setup?

Yes, it is perfectly fine to use the AC courtesy outlet to supply power as such.

Cheers!

Re: Ibanez TS 808 Tube Screamer

If you've got the 3.5mm Mini Plug cable, part# PPMIN, PPMIN-R , then there is no need to use the special adapter to power the Ibanez TS 808 Tube Screamer with your Pedal Power supply. Instead...simply use any 9VDC output with the 3.5mm Mini Plug cable. Also/FYI, used as described, the 3.5mm Mini Plu...

Re: pedal power 2 plus and 24v ehx qtron fail

Yes, the reason is that outputs 5 and 6, DIP switches away from NORMAL, is the 12V unregulated (the voltage will vary depending on the actual load of the connected device itself) setting. As such, a pedal with a low current draw (less than 100mA) will "see" a voltage greater than 12V... perhaps 13V,...

Re: pedal power 2 plus and 24v ehx qtron fail

In fact, it's fine as suggested: To power the Q-Tron (or Q-Tron+) use any 2 of Pedal Power 2 Plus outputs 1 - 4, DIP switches set AWAY from normal and a Voltage Doubler Cable (reverse polarity, 2.5/2.1mm), part# PPEH24 Also... 60mA was a conservative limit (based on the original Pedal Power) but wit...

Re: Look for advice

According to its manual it requires 9VDC, 400mA (note... it is possible that its actual current requirement could be less than 400mA) and center negative polarity. Based on that, to power it with Pedal Power 2 Plus use a Current Doubler Adapter, part# PPAP in outputs 5 and 6, DIP switches in the 9V ...
