Re: Volume pedal in a rack system

Thanx for the reply John.
Do you think that passively splitting a low level signal (like the one from the output of a standard stompbox running before the preamp) won't degrade the tone and its signal to noise ratio?

Re: Volume pedal in a rack system

Hello John I've changed my mind about a few pieces of gear in the rig. Mainly I've given up the idea of the two amp heads (Jet Citys have a strange FX loop where tone controls are post return... :? thus unusable for my purpose) in favor of 2 different preamps (Soldano SP77 and Triaxis) and a stereo ...

DMC GCX vs Voodoolab GCX

So, what's the actual difference between pre Voodoolab and post of the same type of switcher? Did relays or other components change? Is sound quality the same? I belive control facilities with GC firmware update to the latest version should be the same... I'm asking because I'd likely get an used GC...

Re: Setting up GCX/GCP with 3 preamps - how do I go about th

Hi I have a similar setup, with multiple preamps, though I don't have the need to combine them (only using one at a time), but I have a pair of FX processors I want to run in parallel. I'm considering an alternative line mixer myself as the Systme Mix Plus is unavailable and really hard to find even...

Re: Midi Control of Video?

I use Pro Tools, so whatever Digidesign/Avid interface will work. As simple as an Mox2 which has MIDI ports. Then in the DAW you set it up to accept MIDI commands in the synchronization page. Should work

Re: Midi Control of Video?

An easy way could be to use a standard DAW (i.e. Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase) and import a video file as a video track into a session. Then set the DAW up to receive MTC and MMC from the GC pedal...(you'll need and audio interface compatile with the DAW and capable to receive MIDI commands from outside...
