Re: Stacking Midi Devices

There is a small problem here in that the Whammy DT and the Mod Rex each only have a MIDI Input jack, but no MIDI Output/Thru jacks. In order to run both of these in the same rig you will need a MIDI Splitter of some sort. Your MIDI Chain would look like this: 1. Ground Control Pro MIDI Out to GCX ...

Re: GCP / GCX control Leslie G37

Yes, you are correct. You'll need what's called an "Insert Cable," with a TRS plug on one end that breaks out to a pair of TS plugs on the other. You'll connect the TRS plug to the Foot Switch jack on your Leslie, and the 2 TS plugs to Loops 7 and 8 of your GCX. Please refer to Pages 10 and 11 in y...

Re: Stacking Midi Devices

You must have an older model GCX, as the newer models do not have the connectors you listed. Instead, they have MIDI Out, Pedal In, and Power connectors, so as described your MIDI Map is somewhat confusing. In any event, I suspect it is safe to presume however you have your gear connected has been ...

Re: GCP, GCX, JMP-1 & effects?

Hello, and welcome to the forum... 1. A wah pedal does not need to be in a loop. You should put it wherever it sounds best to you in your signal chain, whether that's in front of everything, in a loop, or even between two loops. 2. Yes, GCPro pre-sets can be programmed to activate any combination o...

Re: MIDI data glitches

Welcome to the forum...

Kinda hard to troubleshoot your issue with the limited information given. Could you please share what MIDI devices you are using, on what channels, and in what order they are connected?

Re: GCX and Ground Control Pro - can order of effects be swapped?

Hello, and welcome to the forum! Yes, you can feed a signal to your tuner from the Rear Panel Thru jack. Conversely, as long as your tuner mutes when activated, you could feed your tuner from the Rear Panel Guitar Out jack and then connect the Tuner Out to the Loop1 In jack, thus leaving the Guitar...

Re: Channel Switching + Pedal Switching

Hello, and welcome!! You're on the right track, but while you can configure different PX-8 Plus pre-sets to engage certain effects pedals, I can find nothing in the PX-8 Plus manual that indicates it is capable of performing Channel Switching functions. Have you considered connecting a Voodoo Lab C...

Re: GCX & GCP help question

I haven’t had that Mesa amp in quite some time. To answer your question about my “A” rig, this was my primary rig, which consisted of 2 preamps (11 Rack being the primary & a Line 6 POD Pro XT as the backup and also for more effects), Stereo power amp, a G-Major, BBE sonic maximizer, Lexicon MPX-1....

Re: GCX & GCP help question

You made reference to a Mesa Dual Rectifier that you no longer have. Were you using that Mesa amp in your "A" rig before and are now replacing it with the Marshall? If so, connecting the Marshall in the same way you had the Mesa connected should do the trick. As for Channel Switching on the Marshal...
