Re: Wiring Diagram for 2 GCX > 1 GCP

If you look on the GCX product page , there are a number of different wiring diagrams, with Numbers 7 & 8 referencing a 2 GCX + 1 GCPro configuration. Of course, since everyone's rig is different, these would just be a starting point. You'll need to adapt to suit your own particular situation. Hope...

Re: Ground Control + GXC + Engl e530 - how to wire noise gate?

Good suggestion for the Ebtech. The studio wiring is basically a mess with all kinds of solid state or tube amps, as soon as you turn on distortion/overdrive and it picks up Mexican radio and this permanent hum. I've had mixed results with the EbTech stuff. Worked great in some venues, but not at a...

Re: Ground Control + GXC + Engl e530 - how to wire noise gate?

Am I missing something? Your illustration shows your Noise Gate is in Loop 4, so if you need to turn it off during leads why can't you just use your Ground Control to turn Loop 4 off? You could also try moving your Noise Gate to Loop 8, and again, turning Loop 8 off during solos to see how that wor...

So, i should use ts cables? I was thinking trs, but I dont know anything about this stuff.
Actually, you sussed this out correctly.

There is no point in you using TRS/stereo cables because all the jacks you'll be connecting to are TS/mono jacks.

Re: Control switcher with helix lt & mark V

I don't see why a Control Switcher wouldn't work for this application, and looking at the Mark V's Back Panel, I think your best option would be to use four (4) Mono (TS) cables to connect the Control Switcher to the Mesa's four (4) External Switching jacks. For a neater appearance you could either...

Re: VL Control Switcher Not Reciving Signal

Hello, and welcome to the forum. After reviewing the manuals for the devices in question, I believe I've sussed out your problem. The way the Control Switcher works is, it receives incoming MIDI Control Change or Program Change messages at the MIDI IN port, and "translates" them to "On/Off" message...

Re: GCP & GCX to Audiobox to 2 Amps

I can empathize with your situation, as I was totally lost when I acquired my first GCPro/GCX system, but fortunately there are a lot of very knowledgeable people on this board, so help isn't hard to come by. Like John, though, I'm also curious as to the purpose of the Audiobox, and why you positio...

Re: Cabling with rack drawers

Thx nyteowl. That’s the same drawer I bought. So cabling this as you say sounds well organized, and would require custom length cables for every connection (including audio, power and midi) to keep it neat and tidy. Are you ordering all these cables from a custom shop to length (yikes, that’s a lot...

Re: Cabling with rack drawers

Most people group their cables together and hold them in place with wire ties affixed to Cable Ties . They run them along the back of the drawer, then along the side of the rack cabinet to keep them out of the way, but there is always a large loop between the cable tie and the drawer to ensure ther...
