Re: NOISE, NOISE, NOISE...

I don't have anything outside the rack that isn't plugged into the Ground Control so it will all be rack based. I'll start out planning for 50ft and take it from there (if I do that in Evidence it's going to be near enough £400 for enough cable and plugs). Awesome on the pedals front man, that is a ...

Re: NOISE, NOISE, NOISE...

Great stuff.... :D I learned to solder building my rack..... It's all good character building stuff, as I now make my own effects pedals :) Nice man! Do you sell them? If so do you have a website? So what do you think about my cable measurement? Does 50ft for wiring up my rig in a 10u case sound ab...

GCP/GCX/Kemper Power Rack - Pedal weirdness

Hey all. Second topic in as many days. First one was solved with consummate ease by the massive brains on this forum!!! So, my rig. Guitar/into the GCX/through 8 analog and 1 digital pedal/midi control to Kemper profiles/everything controlled by the Ground Control Pro. My issue. I've got the hang of...

Re: NOISE, NOISE, NOISE...

Hello and welcome! It is quite easy really. If the test does show that the noise is actually a ground loop buzz then you will need to remove the GCX from the rack to open up the chassis. Inside the GCX, just behind the two front panel jacks, is a screw that holds one of the circuit boards in place....

John what does this mean and how do you do it?

Sounds scarily like I might need to know what I'm doing...

Re: NOISE, NOISE, NOISE...

Hello and welcome! As a test, can you try plugging your guitar directly into the In of Loop 1? The noise you have might just be due to a ground loop in the rig. If this does solve the main noise issue, you can lift the chassis ground inside the GCX or isolate the GCX chassis from the rack rails usi...

Re: NOISE, NOISE, NOISE...

Thanks for the advice. Will check them out. I was basing that price on Lava or Evidence Audio. One other quick question. I'm thinking of putting the GCX at the bottom, under my pedals which will alleviate a ton of loose cable flapping all over the top of my pedals. Only thing is it's going to take i...
