Re: Cc messages with gcx & gcp

You can certainly dedicate an Instant access button to control the state of an Effects Block, but if you have the G-Major in a GCX Loop then yes, any time you want to hear the G-Major 2 it's GCX Loop will have to be Active. Personally, I've found leaving the G-Major 2 in the signal path at all times...

Re: Px-8 Plus Pedal Switcher and pedal order

The pedal order is fixed. Basically, Loop 1 is first in the chain and Loop 8 is last. For instance, you cannot swap the order so that loop 2 is before Loop 1.

I hope that helps!

Re: Bugera 1990 channel switching

That's the cable all right!

You would need two GCX Loops, one to control the Channel A/B and the other to turn the Reverb On/Off.

Let us know if you run into any troubles!

Re: Bugera 1990 channel switching

No problem at all to control this switching setup!

A GCX or a Control Switcher will need an Insert Point Cable to connect between the switcher and the amp. An Insert Point Cable has a TRS end that breaks out to two TS ends.

I hope that helps!

Re: Ground Control + GXC + Engl e530 - how to wire noise gate?

If you want to bypass the Silencer you would connect it to a GCX Loop using the Silencer's Return and Output jacks. 1. Guitar to Silencer Input. 2. Silencer Send to Engl Instrument Input. 3. Engl FX Send (Or Engl Output) to GCX Loop 4 IN. 4. GCX Loop 4 Send to Silencer Return. 5. Silencer Output to ...

Re: Presets and controlling external MIDI devices

Hi John, I tried this setup, and it seems like for the DD500 buttons A, B, CTL it needs 2 CCs to work. For On it wants 0 then 127 For Off it wants 127 then 0 If I set it up as described it will eventually trigger the button on the dd500 if I push the IA button repeatedly, because it will eventually...

As mentioned above, its a standard MIDI Out with the addition that Pins 1 & 3 OR Pins 6 & 7 accept Phantom Power. The Ground Control Pro will accept 9V AC or DC and should get at least 400mA.

Good Luck!

Re: DINGBAT CABLING QUESTIONS

First the good news... all your pedals are likely Center Negative. This is describing the polarity of the DC power jack and Center Negative is pretty much the standard in guitar pedals. All should use the standard all black barrel cables included with the 4x4. Here are the pedals I can identify... T...

As a matter of interest, do Voodoo Lab supply these chips and if so what is the cost? Of course you resurrected the one thread on the topic where I don't say how to get the chip(s) We do provide the customized firmware chips. For current pricing and availability on any parts, please feel free...

Re: GCX Switcher Midi safe with MX-8 midi router?

I'm not so sure there is anything wrong here. I believe the 5V you are seeing is what would be normal for any MIDI Out. MIDI itself uses a 3-5V reference. Just so we are on the same page as far as Pin Numbering, here is a diagram of how a 5 Pin DIN jack is numbered. 5PinDIN.jpg View is looking at th...
