Re: GCX / mute send for parallel routing / question

Something you wrote in a previous post has me curious: " The reason I feel I need parallel routing is because of the bad interaction of reverb into delays. The delays get wiped out and if I were to put the G major at the tail end of the signal chain; whatever flanger, phaser, or tremolo I use might...

Re: GCX / mute send for parallel routing / question

My bad again.

I thought you wanted two different groups of effects running parallel to each other; didn't realize you wanted ALL of your effects running in parallel.

Re: Bogner Fish - Control Switcher - Which MIDI controller?

Thank you for your reply! I think I will stick with the FC50 or a smaller MIDI footswitch. Quite a pitty that Bogner does not offer a modern solution but nevertheless, the amp is very nice! Well, you are talking about a product that's been around for nearly 30 years. Tough to find a manufacturer in...

Re: GCX / mute send for parallel routing / question

nyteowl; Thanks for the reply and yes it does help. (in the hope that this routing can happen) I can "see" the in's and out's as you have described. The thing I can't see is the pathway out of loop 1 to loop 4. I mean, will the signal appear at loop 4 "out" even though I've taken the send jack of a...

Re: GCX / mute send for parallel routing / question

Reading from the GCX manual, I can use the send out jack of any given loop to feed an effect unit and then go parallel into a line mixer, I would take it as meaning the original "in" jack signal would not be available at the "out" jack. How could I split the dry signal that's going into the GCX for...

Re: instant access naming

As I recall, a few years back, there were a few companies out there making custom magnetic labels for MIDI Foot Controllers like the GCPro, MFC-101, etc. Don't know if there are any who are still active, but you might want to try searching the net...

Re: Wiring Diagram for 2 GCX > 1 GCP

Thinking back to when I got my first GCX I can certainly appreciate your frustration, but those wiring diagrams DO illustrate how to connect 2 GCX units to a single GCPro, which is what you asked for but, unfortunately, will not allow you to, as you said in your first post "...have my pedals in a r...

Re: All but one preset syncs with my devices

So if I understand correctly all of your presets, with the exception of Preset 4, work as they should. That being the case, it would seem this is due to Preset 4 sending an incorrect program change number, which should be a relatively simple fix. If you haven't done so already, I respectfully sugge...

Re: Wiring Diagram for 2 GCX > 1 GCP

If you look on the GCX product page , there are a number of different wiring diagrams, with Numbers 7 & 8 referencing a 2 GCX + 1 GCPro configuration. Of course, since everyone's rig is different, these would just be a starting point. You'll need to adapt to suit your own particular situation. Hope...

Re: Ground Control + GXC + Engl e530 - how to wire noise gate?

Good suggestion for the Ebtech. The studio wiring is basically a mess with all kinds of solid state or tube amps, as soon as you turn on distortion/overdrive and it picks up Mexican radio and this permanent hum. I've had mixed results with the EbTech stuff. Worked great in some venues, but not at a...
